Summary of Content: The image shows Abraham Lincoln, turned slightly to his left. Inscription on verso: "An Historical Treasure . . . . " followed by a lengthy explanation of the provenance of the photo. The image was taken in Springfield, Illinois just before Lincoln's departure for Washington, D.C. Additional inscription on verso: "H. W. Fay, DeKalb, Ill."
