Summary of Content: First Franklin edition, printed at Passy. The French translation was made by Rochefoucault at Franklin's suggestion. Streeter Sale 1035, Howes C716, who notes 600 copies printed. Supposed to be the earliest appearance of the US seal (with eagle) in book form.
