At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. Summary of Content: Signed by Grandee and witnessed by Church and another person, "J Byfield." The scuffle occurred in Grandee's home. Grandee restrained Tabor to protect the Indian and the Indian ran off. Possibly a legal document.
